Tools that should be used in preparation of your website design .

AWStats – An website analysis tool similar to 103bees and Google analytics however this analysis the Logfile of a website and therefore does not require JavaScript on each page. It does require Perl/CGI access so this may not be for everyone.

Google Keyword Tools – Another handy little Keyword tool, this is nice to find out the cost of the Keywords with Adwords and what is commonly searched on the web. Google Analytics / Google Webmaster Tools – Both of these are tools a lot, if not most web masters use. Webmaster tools allows you to add an xml sitemap to Google, which in theory should ensure your pages get indexed; it can also provide some rankings, though I find them somewhat inaccurate. Google Analytics is a pretty thorough analytics tool, and you can set it up to differentiate between Adwords Traffic and Organic Traffic.A number one tool for any web developer.

IBP - Good Seo application. Has a build in directory submitter and is very user friendly.
