OK, so with a little hunting around to see if there is any other alternative to PHPMyAdmin, i found 2 others. Don’t get me wrong I’m a big fan of PHPMyAdmin but like to keep my options open and feet on the ground with the latest trends and applications.

First one up is SQL Buddy.

phpminiadmin – extremely lightweight alternative to heavy phpMyAdmin for quick and easy access MySQL databases.

Instead of installing huge phpMyAdmin (~11Mb) and trying to figure out how to use all it’s features, just upload one ~10Kb file and it’s ready to use!

SqlBuddy is great. It’s much easier to use than phyMyAdmin.

I haven’t heard of phpMiniAdmin before. Which do you prefer?

I think another great alternative is PhpMinAdmin (mind the spelling !!) – http://phpminadmin.sourceforge.net/ !!
It is as functional as SQLBuddy, or more, however about half the size !! I think it is worth trying too !!
