In today’s highly competitive business world it is essential for the owner of a company in any industry to have an edge over the competition. This may take a variety of forms, but we will just focus on one: The Website. Having a website, as well as making use of internet marketing, has become a very important facet of most businesses today. In fact, it is almost as essential as having a telephone or a fax. Having a modern, well presented website is now almost obligatory, and is an essential tool to providing background on a company and its services/ products, as well as general contact information.

There are a number of factors that will influence your potential customers when they visit your website; these include an eye-catching site that may vary from a single splash page to a more complex interactive site that allows for a variety of functions, such as logins, ecommerce and others. It is important to ensure that your website is designed professionally so as to maximize visitor appeal. It must be comprehensive, yet not overloaded with words and images (thereby causing it to be confusing). It must be user-friendly and easy to navigate.

Another very important factor of having a successful website is ensuring a good ranking with search engines such as Google. This is achieved by means of Search Engine Optimization (SEO). SEO is the process of improving the amount and the quality of traffic that is directed to the website via a search for targeted keywords. This is an initial service that should be included by a good website design company, but that will need to be maintained on a regular basis, such as by adding new content on a regular basis. A website that makes use of correct spelling and grammar (i.e. that has been proofread and has had all errors corrected) is also of the utmost importance, as a small error might put off a potential customer, thereby costing you money without you even being aware of it.

There are a number of websites on the internet that will allow you to create your own website for a nominal fee, or even for free. This might sound great but as mentioned in the paragraphs above there is so much more to having a successful and a creative website. It is no good having a brilliant looking website that might appear on the fourth or fifth page of a search on Google, or a site that perhaps ranks highly but is not of any appeal or use to your visitors. It is vitally important to achieve a correct balance of these factors. Some things are best left to a professional team.

The most important part of modern business strategy is to think on a global scale, however this doesn’t mean that businesses can afford to ignore their local market.

The most important part of modern business strategy is to think on a global scale, however this doesn’t mean that businesses can afford to ignore their local market. The world is continually changing. The most noticeable change is perhaps in the way businesses operate; over the past few decades this has changed considerably.

Businesses are able to operate on an international scale fairly easily, but that doesn’t mean that they can lose touch with their local customers. Consumers and businesses can buy any product from anywhere in the world thanks to the internet. Top business strategies include multilingual website marketing and International internet marketing.

Another method would be writing testimonials for services that you used. If you used a product, read a book, you can send a testimonial to the website owner and place a link to your site in the end. The article will be related to your site and it will contain your desired keywords. Increasing your link popularity with this powerful links will give your site great search engine positioning and also lots of targeted visitors. The more difficult way to achieve them is to ask for them over the net. You can spend some time looking for sites that are related to yours and sending an email to the webmasters.

Once you’ve identified your target market, learn the words they use to describe the problems they’re having or the benefits their seeking. With this information you’ll be able to “speak their language” in your website content. Think of them as the group you’re willing to spend money and time on to get their business.

It’s important to understand that even if your services or products can benefit many types of individuals, it is a lot easier to focus your marketing efforts when you have a target audience in mind. Research shows that most buyers use the internet to search for information before they buy. If your website doesn’t provide information to help your visitors in their buying decision they’re most likely to leave without contacting you.

Bear in mind that not all of Europe speaks English, using an English website you can expect to communicate to around 16% of the population, however if you have a German, Spanish, Italian and French website then you can deal with 74.1% of the European market. It can be quite difficult for firms to start competing at an international level. An international marketing strategy has to be developed depending on the products and services which the business intends to offer to their customers. A common strategy will mean that you don’t have to develop strategies for individual markets. International marketing strategies are becoming increasingly important in many businesses all around the globe.

Either you had to buy low-cost tech packages that often employ little more than web graphic tricks, or you had to make a major investment in website technology developed for large corporations. Often unaware of the Fortune 500 level website maintenance costs required. Keep your focus on your customers and prospects. But all too often that website becomes a tool chest of technology challenges. This hosting account is integrated with all the software and tools required to create, operate and update your website, for one year. Its simply the computer on which your website parks in order to be viewed by visitors to the World Wide Web.

Most dealers know the potential of the Internet, but they may not know how to use the Internet to generate the more incremental profit for their dealership. Well, the first step that most dealers take is to build and brand their dealership website.

If you design and build your site with all of these characteristics in mind you will be ahead of most of the dealers out there. However, building and branding a world class website alone is not going to generate results. Although the website is an important component, it is only part of the whole picture. The bottom line is to drive measurable results and profits to your dealership.

A reciprocal link is some kind of agreement between two webmasters. Both of them place on their site a link that points to the other one’s website. This is some kind of win-win situation because both websites benefit form this linking, receiving direct traffic and increasing link popularity. This situation could become really frustrating when you see that you still keep a link for a website but you’re not receiving one back.

Try that with newspapers, TV or radio! You don’t have to make any changes to your website structure or architecture. You don’t have to know how your website is built. And best of all – you only pay when your advertisement is clicked on – not when it is shown. Google’s system also factors Click Through Rate (CTR) in its ranking of advertisements. Search Engine Marketing process is often generically referred to as “pay per click” (PPC) advertising because you only pay when someone clicks on the advertising link, not when your advertisement is displayed.

So what makes a website “popular?” What elevates one guy’s (or gal’s) website over and above the next? Is it that stirring copy? Backlinks are incoming links to a website or web page. The number of backlinks is an indication of the popularity or importance of that website or page. In basic link terminology, a backlink is any link received by a web node (web page, directory, website, or top level domain) from another web node.Backlinks are also called as incoming links, inbound links, inlinks, and inward links.

Many of the sites hosted on a free or low cost service are not being looked at the same way as one being hosted by a reputable service. All aspects of the

There is no one set of rules, but rather many that are continually changing. Unless you or your in-house staff possesses the time, knowledge and persistence to continually monitor these changing rules, your site’s ranking will unquestionably fall into the vastness of the World Wide Web.

Web accessibility issues are often due to inappropriate use of technologies – such as content management systems, security systems and even some dynamically generated site technologies. These technologies can sometimes hinder site access for both search engine spiders and human users.

This is low cost and most effective compared to other forms of online marketing, because you can easily reach the targeted customers who are already in their pro-active state. This means that they are searching for your product or service in the Internet and they are ready to purchase now or in the very near future.

Understanding how different techniques support or sabotage Website marketing strategies can be critical to a site’s success or failure.

Firstly E-mail marketing has to be taken into account as an important strategy. Email marketing is cheap, easy to implement and can be very effective as a direct response tool.

But did you know that there’s a way Google can help you make money? It’s true; and the best part is you won’t have to do very much to make it work.
Google Adsense works on the principle of passive income. In other words, you will generate income with a minimal amount of active participation on your part. Think of it this way: Instead of having to do all of the cooking and cleaning yourself, imagine if you had a robot that could do it all for you, while you sat back and watched. Adsense works in a similar way, except instead of a cleaner house you get a fatter bank account. Sounds pretty nice, doesn’t it? We will show you how to make passive income work for you.

The world’s richest people all understand the concept of passive income. That’s how they can jet-set off to fancy parties and exotic locales while their businesses continue to flourish. They have more than just crackerjack staffs and winning ideas. They have passive income on the payroll.

Once you’ve invested the small amount of time to learn about Adsense and set it up, all that is left for you to do is to sit back and watch as your bank account or PayPal balance increases.

What is Adsense, anyway?

In a nutshell, it’s a fast and easy way for a website owner to make money through the placement of Google ads on their site. Adsense takes the guesswork out of ad placement, by choosing ads that relate very closely to the content on your site. You no longer have to search for relevant ads yourself; Google Adsense does the searching for you.

Without Adsense, you would have to spend countless hours searching for different ads for each of the pages on your site. All that searching could seriously eat into your golf time! With Adsense, you will be able to concentrate on providing your site’s visitors with high-quality content.

The program rewards site owners for providing web surfers with interesting content. You will generate an income stream from your website or blog just by participating in the program. Some site owners have earned monthly incomes in the thousands of dollars! Even if your initial incomes are small, Adsense has the potential to earn your site a very comfortable second income stream. You’ll even earn while you sleep! And if you own more than one site, the earning potential is just that much greater!

The way it works is this:

Google Adsense compensates the affiliate on a pay-per-click basis. Each time an ad is clicked, the advertiser pays Google a certain amount. After they have deducted their amount, Google will forward you the rest, usually on a monthly schedule.

Do you want to earn money while you travel the world, play with your kids or simply take time out for yourself? That can be a reality with Adsense. With a simple set up and some tried-and-true strategies for taking full advantage of the program, you will soon see the dollars rolling in. So relax, put your feet up, and let Adsense work for you.

Website design is what determines the look and feel of your website. It is what forms the first impression of your website for visitors coming to your site. A good website design is one which is easy to use, easy to navigate, easy to understand and read, and also attractive. By attractive we don’t mean you need to put in lots of graphics and animations, even a simple site like Google can be termed as attractive. The important point to remember is that the site should not be cluttered with too many things as it can take the focus away from your content which is what you are trying to convey.

Importance of good website design

The debate between website design and content is a never ending one. While some feel that content is the main part of a website, others are of the opinion that it is the design which holds more importance. The answer is that both are required for a successful website. If the design is not good then your visitors will not even look at your content, and if the content is lacking then the visitors will never come back. A good website design is what compels the visitor to read what you have to say and forms the first impression of your site.

Planning before website designing

It is important that you put in time to plan the website design strategy before starting work on it. The website design should be decided keeping in mind the field the website is related to and the target audience. For instance, a site for business executives needs to portray a professional look with an uncluttered, minimal, and attractive design. On the other hand, a site aimed at kids needs to be full of color, graphics, and maybe even music. Accordingly, you need to give proper importance to the browser and settings you are designing your website for. Any site which incorporates horizontal scrolling is difficult to navigate and not liked by many people, thus you may be alienating a large percent of your traffic. Cross browser compatibility is another issue to be looked into during the planning phase. Also remember to keep the design consistent between the different pages of the site.

Use of color and graphics in Website design

One of the most important though not so obvious aspects of your website design is the background color and the color scheme you use for the site. For instance, a white background conveys a more professional look, lets you experiment with different color schemes, and is best suited for professional sites. However, for an artist wanting to display his or her work the color may be too dull and they should try different colors. Black is often chosen by those daring to be different, and if you have say a rock n roll band then it may be a good option for you. Graphics are a great way to make your site look attractive, but remember too many of them on one page can make the page look cluttered apart from increasing the time the page takes to load. The same rule applies to animations as well.

It is with a great web design that you will be able to create a good impression on your site’s visitors. In fact, the success of your website is greatly dependent on how it attracts visitors and how much user friendly it is. It is not enough to just drop and drag pictures for an effective web design, lots of thought, ideas and forethought is required to get the perfect design for your website.

The most important point to consider when creating your web design is the concept of your site and what you intend to propagate through the website. All this has to be done before you actually start working on your web design. If your website is to be a personal website, consider how you intend to show your personality and style; and if it is a commercial website, choose the design depending on how you intend to broadcast your products and services. With a lot of forethought, you will be able to choose the right theme for the website, and save lots of headaches.

Use positive points of other websites in your web design

Research to find out what other websites with similar objectives look like and you will get ideas for your web design. Look at websites and keep its positive and negative points in mind so that you can eliminate the negative but use the positive points in your web design.

Once you get an idea of what your web design is to look like, you will have to plan your site. Do this by drawing a sitemap to see how you want your site to work, and which links you intend to use so that the site works as you wish it to work. You save lots of time this way, and give you an idea of your future website.

When creating your web design, remember that it has to be user friendly to be successful on the internet. Lay the site in as clear and a logical manner as possible to ensure that your site is easy to navigate.

Minimum images in the web design facilitate faster downloading of web pages.

If you use tables in your web design, it is better to break your page into a minimum of two tables instead of using a single table. This is because a single table takes longer to download; moreover with two tables, you can have an introduction to your web page in the first table so that visitors don’t get impatient with a long wait.

Use minimum images on your web page where each page should be limited to 30kb including text, images and background images but devoid of plug-ins. This ensures that visitors need not wait more than 5 seconds for the page to load. Use navigation bars in your web design to help visitors know where they are in your website.

Last, but not least, don’t forget to use Meta tags in your web design as they are recognized by search engines and help in bringing more hits to your website. However, your description should be short and concise and not loaded with keywords to ensure that you have a successful web design.

To many beginning website owners, the Google AdSense program can seem like a program for free money, but in fact earning money from hosting ads take planning, patience, and lots of hard work. While it is possible to earn a very good living from hosting AdSense ads, the truth is that most people do not use the program to its maximum potential. What separates those few top earners from all the rest is knowledge, and it is important to gather plenty of information to improve your Google Adsense earnings.

If webmasters want to monetize their websites, the great way to do it is through Google Adsense. There are lots of webmasters struggling hard to earn some good money a day through their sites. But then some of the “geniuses” of them are enjoying hundreds of dollars a day from Google Adsense ads on their websites. What makes these webmasters different from the other kind is that they are different and they think out of the box.

The ones who have been there and done it have quite some useful tips to help those who would want to venture into this field. Some of these tips have boosted quite a lot of earnings in the past and is continuously doing so.

Here are some 5 proven ways on how best to improve your Google Adsense earnings.

1. Concentrating on one format of Google Adsense ad. The one format that worked well for the majority is the Large Rectangle (336X280). This same format has the tendency to result in higher CTR, or the click-through rates. Why choose this format out of the many you can use? Basically because the ads will look like normal web links, and people, being used to clicking on them, click these types of links. They may or may not know they are clicking on your Google Adsense ads but as long as there are clicks, then it will all be for your advantage.

2. Create a custom palette for your Google Adsense ads. Choose a color that will go well with the background of your site. If your site has a white background, try to use white as the color of your ad border and background. The idea to patterning the colors is to make the Adsense look like it is part of the web pages. Again, this will result to more clicks from people visiting your site.

3. Remove the Google Adsense from the bottom pages of your site and put them at the top. Do not try to hide your Google Adsense. Put them in the place where people can see them quickly. You will be amazed how the difference between Google Adsense locations can make when you see your earnings.

4. Maintain links to relevant websites. If you think some sites are better off than the others, put your ads there and try to maintaining and managing them. If there is already lots of Google Adsense put into that certain site, put yours on top of all of them. That way visitor will see your ads first upon browsing into that site.

5. Try to automate the insertion of your Google Adsense code into the webpages using SSI (or server side included). Ask your web administrator if your server supports SSI or not. How do you do it? Just save your Google Adsense code in a text file, save it as “adsense text”, and upload it to the root directory of the web server. Then using SSI, call the code on other pages. This tip is a time saver especially for those who are using automatic page generators to generate pages on their website.

These are some of the tips that have worked well for some who want to generate hundreds and even thousands on their websites. It is important to know though that ads are displayed because it fits the interest of the people viewing them. So focusing on a specific topic should be your primary purpose because the displays will be especially targeted on a topic that persons will be viewing already.

Note also that there are many other Google Adsense sharing the same topic as you. It is best to think of making a good ad that will be somewhat different and unique than the ones already done. Every click through that visitors make is a point for you so make every click count by making your Google Adsense something that people will definitely click on.

Tips given by those who have boosted their earnings are just guidelines they want to share with others. If they have somehow worked wonders to some, maybe it can work wonders for you too. Try them out into your ads and see the result it will bring.

If others have done it, there is nothing wrong trying it out for yourself.

SEO or search engine optimisation is a service that will increase volume and quality of visitors to a website via search engines. This is done by targeting certain ‘key terms’ and making sure the websites relevance will boost it up the search engine rankings.

There is however limitations to SEO and some unscrupulous companies will employ ‘black hat’ methods that will in effect reduce site rankings. Businesses that employ optimisation have certain misconceptions of what services will include; here are a few of them.

There is no way that SEO will be able to provide results within twenty four hours, companies that claim this will not be able to deliver. This is predominantly due to the search engines dragging their feet when indexing sites. This is because a new site takes time to be recognised by a search engine, and hence the results will come a few months after optimisation has begun.

Any SEO that focuses upon providing immediate results will only boost short term results and will most likely utilise shady methods such as spam. Search engine algorithms will eventually pick up these techniques and the site will be penalised for using them. Put simply you should not expect short term results and should focus on building a site that will benefit your business over a long period.

Another misconception is that SEO will be able to guarantee you a certain place in the search rankings. This is nonsense as predicting results is practically impossible and anyone who states guarantees is not reputable. A major factor in this is the key phrases that are targeted. Obviously more competitive phrases will be harder to yield results.

A myth in SEO is that Meta tags will raise rankings considerably. This may have been true in the past but modern search engines use the page content rather than snippets of information in the tags. This is not to say that they are useless, they are still a large piece of the optimisation jigsaw. Producing a concise, well written description will do better than cramming tags full of key words.

Some think that submission to various search engines will assist your site and receive high rankings. This is not however and efficient form of SEO; after your site has been submitted to the big three (Google, Yahoo and MSN) submitting to other search engines is seemingly pointless. The big three account for ninety nine percent of all search engine traffic so submission to other search engines can be seen as a waste of time and money.

As most SEO specialists will profess it is the back links that are the most important factor of optimisation. Creating back links increases relevancy and this of course, is what the search engines want to see. Creating sufficient back links will not only increase the traffic to your site, it should also improve the quality of this traffic. While it is relatively simple to obtain links from many sites, it is the ‘authority’ sites that are of prime importance.

The SEO industry is sadly full of many people who will gladly take your money and do little actual work. That is why it is important to find a company that have proven results and a good reputation. Ask to see the work they have done in the past and what plan of action they intend to employ to your site.

This is not to say all optimisation companies are there to make a quick buck. Reputable and moral SEO is labour intensive and will provide efficient results over a long period of time. The most effective forms of search engine optimisation will take longer than the immoral techniques, but results will be there eventually. If an optimisation company promises the world, remember some common sense and walk away.

And now I’m going to sell all my secrets on how to do that for $67 or $97 or whatever. So what happened, did I get all bored with my filthy riches and decide to become a philanthropist and sell stuff that makes me 15K a month for a pittance? Now, is it just me or is something a little odd in all this?
Say, I’m making $5000 – no make that $15,276 a month from AdSense on my sites. And now I’m going to sell all my secrets on how to do that for $67 or $97 or whatever. So what happened, did I get all bored with my filthy riches and decide to become a philanthropist and sell stuff that makes me 15K a month for a pittance? Or is it something else?Am I saying it’s impossible? Certainly not.

I know people who make that more. But a little reality. Those people don’t have 5 or 6 or 50 sites. They have maybe 500 or 3000 or more. Few sites make 20 or more a day. Very few. Average income is probably less than a dollar a day. So with 500 sites at a dollar a day, you’ve got your 15K a month. Now the domain names cost you maybe $3500 to $4500. Then you need hosting and somehow you’ve got to build the sites and get traffic to them. There are excellent tools but the ones that will let you do this kind of thing in a reasonably short time are also very (very) expensive. And you are continually dealing with sites that don’t get indexed or get de-indexed or even get banned.

Traffic today, gone tomorrow. Plus, if you’re not real careful with those tools you may get an unpleasant letter from Google about a DMCA copyright infringement which could cost you your AdSense account. You can make money, you can build an empire. But it isn’t easy or quick no matter what you hear. And it really isn’t a business. It’s not a long run proposition, it’s not stable. You need to keep creating more sites as older ones fail – or you need to be smart and use those AdSense revenues to build an enduring business.
You put up with this down to here, so here are the real 7 “secret” keys to AdSense.
1. The best performing AdSense type is the large rectangle. This has been tested over and over.

2. The best colors are blue for the link – surfers know that blue means click me. And darkish almost black and grey for the text and URL. No borders. The same background as your page. Will it merge into your content? No, that’s bogus. There are maybe 4 surfers in this galaxy who can’t tell a Google ad when they see one. They are not going to believe its part of the text. Wake up, OK?

3. Another format which is being reported to more or less work is the full wide banner type layout with text ads and images directly above the links. Try it and see if it works for you. Maybe it’s a fad.

4. Keywords and related content are critical if you want targeted ads. If you want high paying clicks you need to target the costly keywords AND have content that supports the keywords.

5. You need traffic interested in the ads. Which means your traffic generation techniques have to be targeted not scattershot? You might hear that 1% or 1.5% click through rate is OK and 3% is good. Nonsense. Really successful people get CTRs that are often well above 30%. Even with modest efforts you should be getting an average 6 to 15% CTR (per ad impression, not pages).

6. You have to track what you’re doing and you have to test variations in ad layout, placement, color and related content to optimize your income. No one can tell you how to do it except the
traffic coming to your site. If you don’t test and track, you’re flying blind.

7. You need to keep building new sites. You are now a member of the AdSense Illuminati. Quite possibly you already knew all that. So why are you looking for something else? Really. This is all you need to start doing it.

Probably any course or book can help you if that’s what it takes to get you moving and doing.Ultimately, no one can really show you exactly how to do it. You’re going to have to learn the ropes and put in the time.Like everything in life – the greatest traffic generator, the ultimate course or the super MLM opportunity, if it sounds too good to be true, then it is. There’s no magic bullet, no ultimate secret to buy.

There’s no easy, painless, work free, certain road to riches (except, maybe, inheriting it and that can be very hard on the heirs).Whatever you do on the net, do it wide awake and with your brain actually functioning. The final un-numbered key is that a technique, a shortcut, and an idea that will make what you do easier, faster, or more profitable – one single tiny thing – is worth more than any book or course costs. One useable idea and you’ve gotten a great deal.If you learned something you didn’t know or had forgotten, then its worth much more than you paid. There may not be any magic solution out there, but there are useful concepts, techniques and ideas. You just have to see them for what they are, and then get busy and really use them.
