Unexplained person found in photo thumbnail

I was busy searching for a photo on my Windows XP PC. Searching in a folder that was set to thumbnail view I found this image that I thought I could use. Upon opening it, I noticed that the image displayed in the thumbnail was different to the image displayed in full view .

The enlarged photo was missing a shadow that looked to be a man standing next to the stairs on the right.
Proportions of the shadow in the thumbnail look completely real.

This is the original photo on my pc that shows a figure next to the stairs when viewing in Windows XP thumbnail view.

What I did was cut out the figure, enlarged it and placed it over the large photo.

Download the top image and try for yourself.
So can any one explain this????? (comments welcome)

I can’t remember the last time I had this much fun interacting with an online ad, but Intel’s Robobrawl is a new age of online gaming by Intel Xeon.

This approach by Intel Xeon, is very expressive way of optimizing its traffic and marketing its brand. ( not that they need too). For guys who spend allot of time on the Internet, this would be a great time to recharge the battery’s and get into the RoboBrawl Realm.
