4800 Australian websites hacked
One of the worst hacks ever seen. At least 4800 Australian websites have been lost with no chance of recovery following a break-in at Australian domain registrar and web host Distribute.IT. The Attack was so bad  that four of the company’s servers were deemed “unrecoverable.” “At this time, We regret to inform that the data, sites and emails that were hosted on Drought, Hurricane, Blizzard and Cyclone can be considered by all the experts to be unrecoverable,” the company reported to the Herold. Sydney – A 17-year-old Australian schoolboy on Wednesday said he unwittingly caused a massive hacker attack on Twitter which sent users to Japanese porn sites and took out the White House press secretary’s feed. Pearce Delphin, whose Twitter name is @zzap, admitted exposing a security flaw which was then pounced upon by hackers, affecting thousands of users and causing havoc on the micro-blogging site for about five hours. Facebook Battles My Space for Social network domination
Facebook has really shown some strong domination since it’s first launched into the social networking world. But believe it or not, it only plays second place to the all mighty My Space. Google’s digg like system – SearchWiki
Google starts its own digg like system called Searchwiki. A new feature lets Google users change the results they see for specific Google searches and revisit their changes and comments later. This new feature not only allows users to customize searches but also allows all Google users to add notes to specific listings, which is visible to others. Google’s Browser Project Chrome has landed
Ok, so this is what the big noise is all about. Everybody is talking about Google’s new invention called Chrome. Built from scratch by a team in Denmark, and open-sourced as well so other browsers could include it. One aim of V8 was to speed up JavaScript performance in the browser, as it’s such an important component on the web today.
