Traffic or links?

Which is you pursue more for your website, traffic or links? More traffic to your website will increase its Alexa rank, while more valid and relevant links will increase its PageRank. Which one are you willing to put more effort for?

I'll go for traffic.

I'm not that sure though because I wasn't able to understand your question thoroughly. Because links are also a way to gain more traffic.

More traffic of course. Our commissions comes from traffic. But it can also be links.

This is how I see it:

If you've got lots of traffic in your site, then you'll probably earn more page rank as well.

If you prioritized links, then more people would probably see your site as well and visit it.

Either ways its a win win whatever you choose.

I'm not sure that I understand your question completely, but I definitely prefer traffic. Marketing your website like you are talking about is so important. Email marketing, direct mail marketing, SEO, are all great ways to increase your traffic flow.
