Google rolled out several improvements to its search on Thursday.  So i thought i would just share with those who haven’t yet checked it out. The use of more slick and web 2 effects really gives Google search a top class look and feel.

Not so flat as it use to be!

TPDugg (Component + Modules) Explained

TPDugg is a social article sharing component for joomla. With this component, you can make a website just like digg.com with joomla, where your visitors or users can share articles, voted it, or give a comment about it, just like so many social sharing websites, such as; digg.com, stumbleupon, misterwong, reddit, etc!

This module has a function to show 3 types of TPDugg contents; based on the latest submitted item, the highest voted item and the most-commented item. It also can be arranged based on the time line, for example; the latest item from last week, last month, etc.

Beside that, this module also has features that made it more flexible, such as feature to choose what section and category to display, feature to choose layout module; standard or simple, and many others. You can arrange everything through the backend page of this module.

Joomla users have been waiting for a digg type system to be released and so far Dugg Plazza should tick all the buttons if you are a Joomla user.

A website just hosted might not be known to many people around the web and you can’t expect web traffic towards that website. It is necessary to popularize your website by some means so that users know that there is such a website and it offers something for everybody. Spreading the links to your website throughout the web is the only option for visitors to stumble upon the links to your sites and navigate to your site from those links.

The word or a phrase that links to your website from another website is very important. Only catchy phrases that grab the attention of the visitors on a particular topic get more clicks and hence more web traffic to that website. It is not easy to get your website’s link in other website unless you are provided good quality content and services. The saying ‘content is the king’ is very true when it comes to SEO link building. If you website provides unique, genuine, and well researched content that is useful to many visitors on a particular topic then chances are that many would link to that content from their website. Visitors to that website might visit your website for the useful content your have provided. Thus providing useful content is one of the ways to popularize your website and get more back links.

You cannot build links overnight. It is a very slow process and you have to consistent in that process and over time you will see that the back links to your website have grown tremendously and your get some steady traffic to your website. It could be frustrating for the new comers to build links. But you have to go with it.

Some of the ways for SEO link building apart from writing useful content in your website are to buy PPC traffic. You can buy relevant traffic which is a good way to link building. You can post some useful articles in article directories like ezinearticles, goarticles, etc and give your website’s link in the resource box provided. This would get some targeted traffic and help you in link building. You can also trade articles with other webmasters. Social bookmarking also helps you to build links. Submit your site to some relevant directories. Do not over do that in all the directories that you come across. If the quality of the content is good you can also some of your friends to tag it in the bookmarking sites. You can use the classified services like Craigslist. Answering related questions in Yahoo Answers would also help in SEO link building. If you can create some useful page in Wikipedia, do so and give a link back to your website. Squidoo pages are also a good way in link building. You can easily develop a Squidoo page in a short time.

Apart from the above ways to go about SEO link building there are many other ways which might help you. Do a simple research on the web for other ways. You get a lot of free information on the web for link building and make sure that you are using genuine methods; otherwise your website will be banned by the search engines as spam.

Redirection

In improving our wordpress blogs, we cannot avoid our permalinks to be broken. This happens when you make changes to an old post, or maybe in upgrading or improving your wordpress blog also when you make changes on your permalinks. These changes can break up your entire wordpress blog.

Ill explain what really happens behind these changes, each post has its own URL this is what we call permalinks. When it is broken, those visitors won’t findyour blog post. The redirection plugin helps you to redirect the visitors to follow the new permalink. So that your traffic will work efficiently.

Robots Meta plugin allows you to do is to point specifically to the search engines which sections of your blog to crawl. This means that you’ll gain more respect from search engines, and likewise more traffic.

Now  we  will  try  to  run it   under  Linux (ubuntu or  debian)

you   should   have  installed  CS4 under  windows  because  we  need  this  directory  to  complete  the  installtion

now  we  need  to download  some  packages to  help  us . :

1- Install wine

$sudo apt-get install wine winecfg

now  we  begin to  copy  folder from windows  to  ubuntu .

2-navigate to C:\Program Files. Copy the whole ‘Adobe‘ folder to Ubuntu /home/username/.wine/drive_c/Program Files folder.

3- copy  C:\Documents and Settings\your-windows-user-name\Application Data  to /home/username/.wine/drive_c/windows/profiles/All Users/Application Data/

4-copy C:\Program Files\Common Files  to /home/username/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Common Files

5- copy  C:\WINDOWS\system32  to /home/username/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32

6-copy   Winsxs  from   C:\windows    to /home/username/.wine/drive_c/windows/  (this folder is  verry  important)

7-  import   the  registery to  wine

from windows  for  to   start and  Run (regedit)

go  to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-> SOFTWARE->Adobe->Dreamweaver  ; Right click on the ‘Dreamweaver‘ folder and select ‘Export’. Save the file as dreamweaver.reg and  copy  this  file  to  ubuntu  home  directory  and  you  need  to  coinvet the  registery  file   to   ASII  file   (recode)

$sudo   apt-get  install  recode

recode is  :   (Conversion between character sets and surfaces)

$recode ucs-2..ascii dreamweaver.reg

$wine regedit dreamweaver.reg

Now you have successfully copied  all  needed files  to  run   your  installation succefully.

lets  give  a  test :

$cd /home/username

$cd .wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Adobe/Adobe\ Dreamweaver\ CS4/

$wine Dreamweaver.exe

Should  be  lunching   the  programe  now.
